About Pawsome

About Pawsome

Hello, I’m Donna — a Tellington TTouch® practitioner with a holistic approach. I’ve been a therapist for 20+ years and an animal person forever. I believe dogs are family, quirks and all. My job is to help you understand your dog’s physical and emotional needs, reduce stress, and build a bond based on trust. The result? A calmer dog and a happier home.

On a personal level, Tellington TTouch® has taught me just as much about myself as it has about dogs. I’ve learned to observe my own behaviour, use intuition, and recognise how my actions directly affect my dog. If I am calm and emotionally balanced, my dog reflects that too.

This awareness helps me choose the right exercises, TTouches, and wraps, giving dogs the chance to feel calmer, more aware, and open to learning. It allows them — and their owners — to make new choices in a kinder, more thoughtful, non-habitual way.

“Tellington TTouch taught me that my actions shape my dog’s behaviour.”

My Approach

What is Tellington TTouch®?

TTouch is a gentle, respectful method that combines light bodywork, movement exercises, and calm handling techniques. It helps dogs release tension, feel safer in their bodies, and switch from reactivity to thoughtful responses.

What makes it different? We don’t just focus on the dog – we also coach you, the owner, so you can keep supporting your dog every day with calm, consistent handling.

Getting to Know You (and Your Dog)

A friendly one-to-one home visit (up to 10 miles from Eye, Suffolk*).

A relaxed introduction for you and your dog — with an explanation of the basics of Tellington TTouch®. (The second “T” in TTouch stands for trust.)

Gentle bodywork — choosing a few simple TTouches suited to your dog’s needs. This respectful, positive method builds a bond of trust, calming your dog and helping them listen and learn. The bodywork includes circles, lifts, and slides with your hand across the body.

Observation — of your dog’s communication, signals, posture, and movement, at home and outdoors, possibly including a short walk.

Identifying the key challenges you face — including family dynamics and the best way forward for everyone at home. We “chunk it down”: making things easier for your dog to succeed while keeping stress low with further bodywork. TTouch is often described as an interspecies language without words.

Bolt-On Bones

Three sessions are just the start. Most dogs (and owners!) need more time to make lasting changes — and that’s completely normal. To keep progress building, you can add extra sessions whenever you need them. Think of these as “training bones” you top up with as you go.

“Think of these as training bones you can top up with – the more bones you pick, the more progress we can make together.”
– Donna Potter

Why Bolt-On Bones?
Because behaviour doesn’t change overnight. Owners often need reminders, confidence boosts, and accountability — just as much as their dogs need repetition and calm handling. Extra sessions keep everyone on track, making sure the progress we start together really sticks.

How it Works

How it Works

Here’s the journey most clients take:

Quick chat (10 minutes) – to see if we’re a good fit.

Questionnaire — about your dog’s history, behaviour, and your expectations. (Things like: When did the problem start? What have you tried already? Will you commit to at least 3 sessions?)

Plan – based on your answers, I’ll estimate how many sessions are likely needed (3, 6, 9 or more). This sets realistic expectations from the start.

Sessions – we work together, step by step. I’ll guide you as much as your dog.

Progress reviews — so you feel supported, and your dog (and your household) stay on track.

FAQs

FAQs

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Will this work for my dog?

Most dogs benefit from feeling safer and more understood. We start small and keep it kind.

Is it training or therapy?

It’s a holistic approach: gentle bodywork + simple movement + better handling, so training feels easier.

Do you cover my area?

I’m based in Eye, Suffolk and regularly visit nearby villages and towns such as Diss, Framlingham, Debenham, Stradbroke, Bury St Edmunds and the surrounding area.

Home visits within 10 miles of Eye are included. If you’re a little further out, that’s no problem — there may just be a small additional charge to cover fuel and travel time, and we’ll always agree this together in advance.

Do you offer group workshops?

I offer one‑to‑one sessions only.

How many sessions will we need?

Most families start with The Sniff Test, then book the Three‑Visit Plan for momentum.

Will one session fix things?

No — real change takes time and commitment. That’s why I only offer a 3-session package to start. Most owners then choose Bolt-Ons to keep progress going.

Need more help? Just add Bones!

Most families find three sessions are just the beginning. That’s why you can top up with extra sessions — “Bolt-On Bones” — to keep progress going. Simple, flexible, and tailored to you and your dog.

What if I need more than three sessions?

That’s completely normal. Three sessions give us a strong start, but most dogs (and owners!) need more time to really lock in new habits. That’s why I offer flexible Bolt-On Bones 🦴 — extra sessions you can add whenever you need them. The more Bones you add, the more consistent the progress.

How do I pay?

A £50 booking fee secures your place. The remaining balance for the three-session plan is paid at the end of your first session. All sessions are always paid in advance.

I’ll send you my bank details, and payment can be made quickly and securely via online transfer or BACS.
